Jean-Michel Basquiat: Radiant Child

 

Jean-Michel Basquiat first gained fame as a graffiti artist using the tag SAMO in the streets of New York. Filmmaker Tamra Davis interviewed him shortly before his death in 1988 and has now returned to this footage to put together an intimate portrait of her former friend. Davis captures the most important moments of his artistic career and so Basquiat is shown mingling with the rich and famous at his gallery making his way to become one of the biggest players of the New York Art scene.

Julian Schnabel was the first to document the life of Jean-Michel in 1996 narrative feature Basquiat; he is one of the artists interviewed in Davis’ documentary. Jean-Michel Basquiat was a fantastic artists, a real character known to be painting in Armani suits, a head full of dreadlocks. But like so many other great talents he lost his life to his love for drugs.

Cats & Dogs : The Revenge of Kitty Galore

 

Kitty Galore used to work as an agent for cat spy organization MEOWS and has now come up with a cunning plan to take down all her former kitty comrades. Due to this threat cats as well as dogs unite to fight together for the first time in the history of cats and dogs, to save themselves and their humans.

Cats & Dogs featured a lot of hilarious moments in which you might even be able to recognize your own pet. Full of funny remarks and fury fun, the follow up seems to be just as promising.

Detective Allen Gamble (Will Ferrel) isn’t really one to take to the streets; he prefers hiding out behind stacks of paperwork. Detective Terry Hoitz ( Mark Wahlberg) has been stuck as his partner ever since an embarrassing public incident revolving around his trigger fingers. New York City’s top cops Danson (Dwayne Johnson) and Manzetti (Samuel L. Jackson) are Allen and Terry’s idols. Yet somehow whenever they get the chance to step in and make other detectives proud, all goes wrong.
